Dominican Republic Issues USD 1.6 Billion in Sovereign Bonds and Repurchases 2027 Debt

The Dominican Republic issued USD 1.6 billion in sovereign bonds maturing in 2039 at an interest rate of 6.85%. The transaction also included a cash tender offer to repurchase existing bonds maturing in 2027, carrying a 5.95% coupon, with a principal amount of USD 1.39 billion.
Pellerano Nadal acted as legal counsel to Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, the initial purchasers of the bonds, alongside Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. The Dominican Republic was advised by Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.
