María Paula focuses her practice on the incorporation and maintenance of offshore companies, corporate governance, corporate law, agreements, strategic alliances, free trade zones, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and general business advisory.

She advises domestic and foreign clients on the structuring, development, and strengthening of their businesses, supporting the continuity and growth of their operations.
Her experience includes advising Caribbean Transmission Development Company on corporate, regulatory, and intellectual property matters related to Project Hostos for the development of the electrical interconnection between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. She has also assisted Amazon Leo on regulatory matters relating to the establishment of its satellite broadband network, as well as Nclusion in connection with its expansion in the financial sector. She also participated in Emergent Cold’s acquisition of Friobox Logistics.

She holds a law degree, magna cum laude, from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), with concentrations in Corporate Law and Social Justice and Human Rights. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and French, and pursued French-language studies at the Alliance Française of the Dominican Republic. She has further strengthened her professional training through diploma programs and specialized coursework offered by well-regarded institutions, including Instituto OMG and Gaceta Judicial of the Dominican Republic.
