Pellerano Nadal Advises Emergent Cold LatAm on the Acquisition of Friobox

Pellerano Nadal acted as legal advisor to Emergent Cold LatAm in the acquisition of Friobox, marking the client and firm’s second transaction in the Dominican Republic. This deal represents a key step in Emergent Cold LatAm’s regional expansion strategy, as it aims to establish itself as the leading provider of temperature-controlled logistics solutions in the country and the Caribbean.

With this acquisition, Emergent Cold LatAm significantly increases its operational capacity, with capacity exceeding 27,000 pallet positions, and strengthens its cold chain infrastructure to meet the growing demand for logistics services in the region. 

The Pellerano Nadal team was led by partner Marielle Garrigó, with the collaboration of senior associate Eduardo Pellerano Nadal and associate Sebastián Linera. All three were part of the team that advised Emergent Cold in its initial entry into the Dominican market in 2023.

Emergent Cold LatAm began operations in the Dominican Republic that same year with a greenfield facility located in the Caucedo Free Zone Park, strengthening its presence in the country and positioning itself as a key player in specialized logistics solutions in the region.
