At Pellerano Nadal, Ricardo advises domestic and international clients on Dominican Republic corporate law, banking and finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and project development. He works closely with international law firms, investment firms, multinational corporations and financial institutions on complex transactions. He also advises the Firm’s management on financial, operational, business development and strategic planning matters.

Through Pellerano Capital, Ricardo advises companies, shareholders and investors on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raising, financing strategies and strategic partnerships. His work encompasses opportunity origination, transaction structuring, negotiation and execution, together with market entry and business development initiatives. He facilitates relationships among investors, capital providers and strategic counterparties, collaborating with local advisors, specialized consultants and legal counsel as required.

Throughout his career, Ricardo has participated in financing transactions with an aggregate value exceeding US$25 billion, including bond issuances, syndicated and bilateral loans, private placements, project finance and other structured financings. He has also advised on buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions with an aggregate value exceeding US$3 billion.

Before joining the Firm, Ricardo served as Institutional Funding Manager at a leading Central American bank. As part of its Financial Institutions and Treasury & Investments team, he managed relationships with international financial institutions, arranged institutional funding through a range of debt instruments, and negotiated financial products and services.

Earlier in his career, Ricardo practiced law at prominent firms in Washington, D.C., and Santo Domingo, advising businesses on transactions, regulatory matters and the establishment and expansion of operations in the Dominican Republic and Central America. His experience also includes co-founding ventures across several industries, bringing an entrepreneurial perspective to his work with business owners, investors and management teams.

Ricardo received his Bachelor of Laws from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and completed his LLM in General Legal Studies, with focus on international business, financial law and law firm management, from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. He has also participated in financial law, business and leadership certificate programs from the London School of Economics, Harvard Business School and IESA Panamá.
